My name is Gabriel Castro. I’m user experience/interface designer as well as a Java & Ruby developer, based in Ottawa, Canada.

I’m keenly interested in providing the best possible experience to users in the form of pleasing, easy-to-use UIs; be it on the web or in the form of native applications. I started my career as a Java developer creating Eclipse-based tools but now I spend my days between Ruby On Rails and a Java-based distributed job dispatcher.

I’ve had the privilege of presenting at EclipseCon in 2007, 2008, and 2009 and I hope to be back in the future.
