ING Ottawa Marathon 2007
I know I can’t deny it, I’m a running junkie. I just love the sport and ya’ll know it. And as many of you are well aware I crossed another milestone a few weeks back by taking part in the Ottawa Race Weekend a 5th time, this year running the ING Half-Marathon.
I’d love to say that much work went into practicing for this race but the truth is I slacked quite a bit. Often I would go running no more than twice a week, but in the end it all worked out. My goal this year was to run a sub 2 hour half and that was easily accomplished. My official chip time was 1:58:24.3 which is a respectable time but we can certainly do better, right? Yes indeed we can and we’ll try again, possibly the Toronto Half-Marathon or the Fall Colours in Cumberland, so stay tuned.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank everyone who came out to cheer me on, ya’ll were awesome even if you did miss me at the finish line. Best cheering section ever!! Thank you Sera, Laura, Matt, Gaby, Ali, and Hogan. And lets not forget Tuee and Dom who were also running, great job team!! I’m certainly looking forward to another full marathon next year.
